Starting a new job, going to school, or moving to a new place can cause us to feel stressed or anxious. How we deal witvh those feelings could mean the difference between being successful on our new path and succumbing to the pressures and quitting or failing. Using your “personal wellness plan” is a start, but what if you cannot cope on your own?

The major companies involved in the natural gas industry are required to provide assistance to their employees who need it, so that the employee is able to work safely and effectively. Finding these resources on your own can be challenging so it is always a good idea to speak with your supervisor or the company’s human resources department for direction. Most firms provide information about their Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) during the hiring and orientation process.
