This module provides an introduction to natural gas and the history of its development as an energy source in British Columbia. You will learn how natural gas is used every day to cook food, heat homes, and as an ingredient for common products like fabrics and fertilizer.
When you complete this module, you will be able to:
- Identify early uses of natural gas.
- Describe important events and figures in the history and development of oil and gas as an energy source in Canada and the United States.
- Explain how looking at the development and use of energy in the past can help shape future development and use of energy.
- Describe some of the people and places involved with the natural liquid gas industry today.
